Privacy

What we collect

• Order details: your name, email address, shipping address, billing address, and what you ordered.
• Payment details: your card is handled by the payment provider you choose at checkout. We never see or store your full card number. What reaches us is confirmation that a payment succeeded, the type of card, and the last four digits.
• Your email address, if you sign up for the newsletter.
• Anything you write to us, through the contact form or by email.
• Your cart, stored in your own browser so it is still there when you come back.
• Analytics, but only if you accept them: which pages you opened, which products you looked at or added to your cart, your device and browser, and a rough location worked out from your IP address.

Where it comes from

Most of it comes from you, when you order, sign up, or write to us. Some is collected automatically as you browse. The rest comes from Shopify and the payment providers when they process an order on our behalf.

What we use it for

To take your order, get it to you, and tell you where it is. To answer you when you write. To send the newsletter, if you asked for it. To spot fraud. To see which parts of the shop are useful and which are not. To meet obligations we have under tax and accounting law.

We do not use your information to build an advertising profile of you.

Who we share it with

Only the services needed to run the shop:

Shopify, which hosts the store and processes payments. The payment provider you pick at checkout, which may be Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, PayPal, Google Pay, or Venmo. The carrier that delivers your parcel. Google Analytics, but only if you accepted analytics cookies. The email service that sends the newsletter and carries messages from the contact form.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross context behavioural advertising. If we are ever required to hand something over by law, we will.

Cookies

Essential cookies keep your cart and your session working. There is no way to turn those off and still have a working shop.

Google Analytics only loads after you press Accept on the banner. Press Decline and the analytics script is never loaded at all, so there is nothing to opt out of afterwards. If you change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner comes back.

How long we keep it

Order records stay as long as we need them for the order itself, and after that for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. Analytics data expires on Google's own schedule. Messages you send us are kept while they are useful and deleted when they are not.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link at the bottom of any one of them, and you can opt out of analytics with the banner.

Email hello@offlinegifts.com and we will deal with it. We may need to check you are who you say you are first. Asking will never affect how we treat you as a customer.

Children

This shop is not meant for children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If your child has sent us something, email us and we will delete it.

Where your information goes

We ship within the United States only. The services above are hosted in the United States, and your information may be stored and processed there.

Changes

If we change how any of this works we will update this page and change the date at the top.
